Everything You Need To Know About First Ascent Baselayers

From hiking and trail running to cycling and sports, follow the below tips to help choose the right baselayer that is perfectly suited for your next adventure..

One of the most important parts of any colder outdoor apparel adventure is adequate baselayer layering. The right baselayer helps to regulate your body’s core temperature by wicking the moisture away from the surface of your skin so that you can stay dry and comfortable despite the activity or climate you find yourself in.

Each baselayer provides its own unique properties, from different drying speed, odour control or improved moisture control and recovery post-exercise.

Heatshield Long Sleeve Tops:

Polartec® Power Dry® draws moisture straight from your skin and transfers it to the outer surface in order to quickly dissipate. The evaporation helps keep you cool, as your body heat increases or warm when temperatures are low. The technology used to control or draw out moisture is the highest priority for close-to-skin surfaces, making the First Ascent Heatshield long sleeve an ultimate cycling or running baselayer.
